100 Years of Disappointment on the Horizon
by mrquik ineven as an elder, i had doubts as to this being "the one true religion".
i personally had chosen 2014 as one of those "make or break" dates.
fortunately, i left years ago.

Considering they threw Russel and the Bible Students under the bus recently with the latest understanding of the F&DS, it might not actually be 100 years from the perspective of the current WT Leadership and die-hard JWs. The starting point has been moved up to roughly 1919 with the latest understanding.

How would you feel if your coworkers pooled in on Powerball lottery tickets and won, and you didn't participate?
by Theocratic Sedition ini just recieved an email stating that the folks here won $8.00 over the weekend.
so they're going to use the money to procure more tickets and i believe the jackpot is up to like $260 million or some other crazy figure.
i never participate and i absolutely enjoy watching them waste their money on tickets with a smug haughtiness that only an active jw can muster.

It happened to somebody. Sounds like she works with good people.
“I knew I was the only one who hadn’t put in the money, so I thought they were pranking me and going out of their way to make me feel something,” Maldonado told The Miami Herald. “My boss sat down and said this was real.”
But the 12 coworkers at Keller Williams Partner Realty in Plantation who won are giving her a break. They won’t say how much, but they have decided to cut Maldonado, an administrative assistant, in on the winnings.
“As a team we put together a fat pile of money,” Laurie Finkelstein Reader, head of the office real estate agents, told the Herald. “If we do the right thing and always care about other people, the right thing will happen to us.”

Last night the speaker both eloquently and methodically dispelled any reasons that someone in attendance would partake last night. Maybe it's always been that way and my senses are only now really attuned to how it all works. But by the time he was done, you knew the only thing you'd be doing is passing the plate and glass to the next person. Even if you didn't know whether or not to participate, after seeing everybody else simply passing along, you'd follow suit.

New light Watchtower magazine leaked from organization weeks ahead of general release
by cedars inhttp://jwsurvey.org/governing-body-2/new-light-watchtower-magazine-leaked-from-organization-weeks-ahead-of-general-release.
if doctrinal explanations are missing from the article, it is because they are also missing from the magazine.. i would like to give my thanks again to my source for supplying me with the magazine article weeks ahead of its scheduled release.
it showed remarkable courage, because risks were taken.

Good work man lol!! This tickles me!! I always look forward to albums leaking so I can give a listen before purchasing. That way I don't purchase a piece of coal for my ears. It's always inevitable that after an album leaks, the label will shut it down unless they purposely leaked it. I'm glad you pulled out all the stops so the WT won't do the same, or at least have a hard time pulling it off.
By the way, that article is going to be one massive headache and nightmare to wrap one's head around. You obtaining that copy as a leak made my day too. I've been thinking for a while that there's a war going on in Bethel. I think at times there's more than a few up there itching to make a move.

Actually had fun at the memorial!
by OneDayillBeFree ini bet that title raised some apostate eyebrows lol but let me explain.... first of all this is the first memorial where i didn't place an invitation!
not a single one!
it feels a little surreal but i actually can't remember the last time i went peddling some literature door to door.. anyway, i got to the memorial about 5 mins early, and sat at the back with the brother in charge of sound.

Crazy things? Hmmmmm....... the parking lot when trying to pull into it after the preceding congregation wrapped up their memorial. All in all it was a good memorial. The guest speaker was above average, actually a very good speaker. The parts of the outline that focused on Christ were VERY touching. Not entirely sure what I believe in any more, but, one cannot deny the power of Jesus' life, death, example, teachings, illustrations, etc.. Couldn't tell you the last time I felt an internal drive to bring my life more in harmony with Jesus.
I was glad not too many ones showed up whom I've known from my younger years that have went inactive. I envy them to some degree. I hate the awkwardness when they show up to appease family, and their relatives still in the truth parade them around like an old car that needs fixed up. Thankfully not too much of that went on tonight.

EVE - not the only woman ?
by *lost* incan you help verify or disprove the follwing please.. many thanks.
the bible does not say eve was the only woman does it ?
adam and eve may have been the first human couple created, but there is nothing to say that he didn't create moret than one man or more than one woman, does it ?

Considering Cain was worried about his safety after murking his brother leads one to conclude there was more baby production coming from other couples other than Adam and Eve.

Notes from 2013 Memorial talk: Appreciate What Christ Has Done for You
by WinstonSmith intook one for the team tonight, and went along to the memorial.
my first time in a kingdom hall for just over a month.
it was as expected, dry, boring and extremely uninteresting.

Both groups benefit from the ransom sacrifice, but only the ones with the heavenly hope partake. This is because Jesus set this covenant with his close followers, ones who would be in the kingdom with him.
I'm dying to go tonight to hear this part for myself. Not that I don't believe you, but just I need to hear it myself. It's true Jesus set the covenant in a setting with his close followers, and heck maybe it only applied to those with him in the room that evening. Regardless, how is it that a handful of American men with one Aussie born 2000 years after Jesus set this covenant are considered his preeminent close followers, along with the average eccentric that partakes in whatever congregation? How do you throw so many Christians under the bus?
For this reason we would expect that someone who partakes has a long history of faithful service to Jehovah.
If that's the case, then one would expect that someone who partakes would actually be one of the other sheep considering the average non-annointed JW has contributed more to the JW cause than the average so called annointed.
